Determination of hereditary predisposition for cancer
Determining the hereditary predisposition for cancer is very important for the early discovery of cancer and for increasing the effectiveness of treatment. The significant difference in the survival rates at the early stage of cancer and at the late stage of cancer raises the need for determining the risk of developing the disease.
The predisposition for cancer is determined by a gene panel, which enables to study 93 genes that are all related to different forms of cancer. During testing, genes related to breast, ovarian, lung, colorectal and prostate cancer are analysed.
The health examination includes genetic testing of blood and a consultation with a doctor.
If during the examination any health risks are discovered, you will be referred to a geneticist for a more detailed consultation, if necessary.
The price for the health examination at the Medita Clinic is 1,120 euros.
Determining the involvement of a known mutation in the development of a disease for one family member at Medita Clinic costs 105 euros.
The health examination is offered in collaboration with Asper Biotech laboratories.
